We work with handwoven and heritage textiles sourced through direct relationships with artisan partners across Burkina Faso, Ghana, and Addis Ababa. These are not vendor transactions — they are ongoing collaborations which are not about reacting to trends, built on respect for traditional technique, continuity of cultural knowledge, and a genuine commitment to long-term partnership.
Each textile carries the nuance of the hand: subtle variations in color, weight, and pattern that cannot be replicated by machine. That irreproducibility is not a limitation. It is the point.

The name YESAET — an Amharic word meaning "a woman's work" — reflects both origin and intention. It honors the women who make: the artisans whose skill and continuity are the foundation of everything we produce. And it honors the women who wear: those who choose garments for what they stand for, not just how they look.
Work shaped by care, skill, and resilience has always been undervalued. This brand is, in part, a refusal of that.
